Mark has over 38 years’ Senior Management and Board recruiting experience within the Not-For-Profit, Public and Private sectors. In addition, he also provides Career Coaching, Mentoring, Outplacement and Related Services together with Management Consulting services including Organisational Review and Remuneration advice. Mark’s career commenced with a major international firm of Chartered Accountants. His nine years with this firm saw him progress from Senior Manager Audit, to Director roles in Training and Recruitment (including national and international postings). Mark’s career exposed him to a wide range of companies in a variety of industries.
Mark joined the Executive Recruitment industry in 1988, initially concentrating on Accounting, Banking and Finance in Sydney with a large national organisation. His success led to a promotion to the General Management of their operations in Queensland. From 1990 until 1993 Mark moved through international and local consulting groups, continuing to build his client base. In addition, he specialised in Management Development Training, Remuneration Consulting, Outplacement/Career Transition and wider Human Resources and Management Consulting.
In 1993 Mark was appointed to the role of Director of Human Resources and Marketing at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, Brisbane and had a large involvement in Executive Recruitment, Search, Management and Human Resources Consulting and Professional Services Marketing.
In 1996, Mark left Deloitte to establish his own Executive Recruitment, HR and Management Consulting Practice, MDN Consulting which has been trading successfully ever since. He has since merged his practice with Norton International.
