AI at Horton International
AI is transforming how organisations operate, compete, and lead. The organisations moving ahead are those with leaders who can turn AI potential into practical business value. Beyond technical fluency, these leaders bring strategic vision, commercial understanding, and the ability to guide organisations through transformation.
Finding those leaders, in every market and every sector, is what Horton International does, and it is why our own approach to AI is deliberate, governed, and grounded in principles that will not change.

“The best executive search is human at its core. Relationships, judgment, cultural understanding, and trust cannot be automated.”
Our commitment:
- Human judgment at the centre of every search
- AI adopted where it genuinely improves outcomes
- Board-level governance and accountability
- Continuous evaluation as the landscape evolves
How we approach AI
We evaluate every application of AI against one measure – the quality of outcomes for our clients.
That means being selective about what we adopt, moving at the right pace, and never allowing technology to substitute for the judgment and relationships at the heart of what we do.
To ensure this approach is strategic and consistent across our 35+ country global group, Horton International has established a dedicated AI Committee – a Board-level initiative bringing together senior leaders from across the firm. The Committee defines our AI strategy, and ensures that how we adopt AI reflects the standards our clients expect.
Perspectives From Our AI Committee
"Horton International has always competed on the depth of our client relationships and the quality of our judgment. AI will not replace those things; used well, it sharpens them. The Committee's job is to make sure that across every global office, we apply AI where it genuinely improves the work, and every client benefits." - Joshua Hollander
"AI is moving faster than most organisations can keep up with, and no single market has all the answers. What excites me about this committee is the chance to think through these challenges together, with people from genuinely different contexts and industries. Asia-Pacific is already leading on a number of these fronts, and bringing that energy into a global conversation is what this committee makes possible." - Mark Filshie
"Our AI initiative is not just about embracing new technology, it's about staying ahead of the pace of change our clients are navigating themselves and strengthening the expertise and relationships that have always set Horton apart, so every client benefits, in every market." - Rolando Garay
"Probably almost everything has already been said about AI in today’s world. Can truth, reality, and future potential always be separated from hype, unrealistic expectations, or misinformation? Probably not. But we want to follow the news, the markets, and the tools closely, and provide our clients and colleagues with the perspective needed to assess AI in a balanced, neutral, and fact-based way" - Szymon Malecki
“The launch of the AI Committee is a natural step in how we continue to evolve as a trusted firm. Beyond the technology, this is about how we combine intelligence, experience, and—placing special emphasis on what truly differentiates us—our judgment, to better support our clients. Supported by the experience of an outstanding team, we use these tools with clear criteria and purpose. Ultimately, it’s about being more useful, more relevant, and creating tangible impact—for our clients and for the continued strengthening of our business model.” - Javier Kühnel
